ASL is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Your tax-deductible monetary donation allows us to provide veterinary care, supplies, and food for our animals awaiting adoption, and supports the general maintenance of our shelter facility. Thank you!

Volunteer
Volunteers provide a vital role within our organization and are our lifeblood! Volunteers help by providing direct animal care and general cleaning, doing laundry, socializing animals, organizing donations, transporting animals to and from vet appointments, running general errands and helping at events and with fundraisers. If you are interested in volunteering for ASL, please send an email with some information about yourself and how you might be able to help. Currently, all new volunteers are required to begin by assisting at our shelter on Saturdays while learning our policies, procedures and protocol.
Foster
Fosters provide temporary housing for animals who are not currently residing in our shelter as they wait for their forever homes. Pregnant animals, sick or injured animals requiring daily medical care and treatment, bottle-fed animals, and those with special needs are typical foster home candidates. ASL provides and covers all vet care expenses and food to foster homes. If interested in fostering, please send an email and we will send you a foster application.
